A little about our story...

I was born right here on Cedros Island, growing up running and swimming on the beach while treasuring bioluminescence as a normal phenomenon in our lives. I thought that everyone near the ocean could see it too, but I never imagined that it wasn't a phenomenon occurring everywhere in the world. I became a part-time fisherman because I was the first of seven brothers to have the opportunity to go to high school. Many times, I came back from school and went fishing overnight with my father, Beto (the best dad ever). In the late '90s, I moved away from the island and became a Professional Naturalist Tour Guide. Nowadays, after 23 years of leading and guiding tourists around Costa Rica, I am back on my island and plan to stay here for the rest of my life, showing these magical places to everyone. Together with my family and the entire community, we operate as a tour company. We want to let you see what, for many people around the world, is unknown. We are local and native people with a small piece of beautiful Costa Rica, ready to be discovered by you.

Our Association

We are a community that made a collective decision to shift our focus, contemplating the well-being of future generations. Channeling our expertise in ocean-related activities towards more eco-friendly practices, we found the answer in ecotourism as a means to curtail commercial fishing. By embracing a greener approach, we believe we can foster a robust economy and ensure a sustainable fish population in our region.
